More Men Joining Facebook as Strong Growth Continues – another 22% to 110 million
Men are starting to use Facebook more, catching up in the demographic race with more active female users. Facebook has seen its self-reported user figures rocket up by around 22 percent in the last 146 days (10/29/2009 to 3/24/2010 were the days we examined). Men increased their numbers by roughly the same amount as women over this time period, but that amounted to a larger relative gain, with men adding 26% more users compared to 19% for women. The split between men and women is still roughly the same at 43%-55% (with 2% not classified as either by Facebook).

Both younger age groups and older age groups showed the strongest growth, with Male 55+ and 13-17 being the two fastest growing segments among the age/gender groups.
